Nike Southwest Regional meet is November 23rd. It's a fun and fast 5k race where the kids will compete against teams from several states and even possibly win a bid to the national championship in Portland December 7th.
Every athlete can attend, there are varsity and open races. Trip will be November 21st-24th! Below is the initial itinerary and costs for the trip. Geo and the coaches hope to provide a great experience for all attending athletes.
All costs for the trip will be paid for through the booster club (Boulder XC), and we are asking for each participant to pay $575, not including flights. This fee includes hotel, meals, and on-ground transportation, meet entry fee, uniforms, etc. If you have a senior, please check in with us before you pay, as we would like to sponsor these athletes.
Parents, you have 3 "to-dos":
1. Please pay in two installments or all at once. $200 deposit due by October 7th, remainder $375 due by October 25th https://www.boulderxc.com/store.
2. Download, fill out, and sign this waiver and email to NXR.Waivers@nike.com. Please cc smevaughn@gmail.com so we make sure everyone is good to go.
3. Book your athlete's flight and share flight information with Geo. Flight options: -We prefer athletes arrive Thursday evening, but please have them arrive (land) in Phoenix no later than 4pm Friday Nov. 22nd. Earlier if you can, so kids can do a team practice and course preview together. -Make return flight for Sunday afternoon/evening between 4-5pm as Geo plans some team events on Saturday evening and Sunday. Most athletes travel Southwest or United. Hotel Information: HYATT PLACE TEMPE/ PHOENIX AIRPORT 1413 W Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ, 85281, USA Parents, there should be availability left at this hotel if you plan on coming to spectate.
